
Laurena Johnson
Area Sanitarian
Laurena is a seasoned professional in the sports and entertainment hospitality industry, with 16 years of experience in stadium and arena operations. She earned her culinary degree from San Francisco Le Cordon Bleu in 2005 and spent nine years working at the Giants Stadium, where she worked high-profile events such as the All-Stars Game and the World Series.
In 2012, Laurena joined Levy Restaurants and worked as a chef at the Oakland Arena for a year before pivoting to operations. She developed a keen interest in sanitation and food safety, and trained with health inspectors and Everclean auditors. Her expertise enabled her to train her staff and management team to achieve consistently high inspection scores.
As a Bay Area native, Laurena loves her job and is passionate about the hospitality industry. In 2017, she welcomed her daughter and continued to work as a Sanitarian for Levy until 2019. She then opened Chase Center as a Health and Safety Manager for Bon Appétit before returning to Levy as the Sanitarian at Levi's Stadium.
In 2022, she was promoted to the Area Sanitarian for multiple accounts, where she continues to train staff and management. All while upholding "Give a 100%" mindset at all times.
