Executive Sous Chef
Sergio Torrez brings 15 years of experience to his position as Senior Sous Chef for Levy at Levi’s Stadium.
Sergio graduated from PCI in Campbell and immediately started working at Specialties Cafe & Bakery. There he worked his way up to the Regional Trainer position here in the Bay over an impressive span of six years. Sergio played a key role as lead trainer with the opening management team that included four back to back store grand openings, while with Specialties.
His passion for new experiences, timed with the ground breaking of Levi’s Stadium in 2014, sparked his interest to pursue an opportunity to work at the San Francisco 49ers state of the art new facility. He was hired as Pastry Sous Chef and trained under French certified master chef Patrick Lavesque. Over his tenure at Levi’s Stadium, Sergio has risen to the top of his game and is now leading Levy’s extensive catering and premium pastry program. During his 5 years with Levy, Sergio has been able to support and play key roles in major events such as SueprBowl 50, BNP Paribas at Indian Wells, Nascar Racing, NBA Championships, various concerts and most recently the 149th Kentucky Derby.
Sergio was born in San Jose, CA. His major passions are food, wine, music, travel and family. He graduated from Professional Culinary Institute in 2008 with a degree in Culinary Arts & Professional Baking.
